There is no doubt that cycling is a great exercise to keep you healthy and, well, reduce those extra kilograms that you got during your holidays. But do you know how many calories are you burning during your trainings or during a long ride?
Just as an example, Remco Evenepoel, road world champion after his victory in Wollongong, Australia shared his Garmin file, including his total calories burned. Over the course of six hours, the champion used up 6,005 calories, probably much more that what you would eat in 2 days!
I probably won´t burn that much riding my bicycle but let´s keep in mind these numbers as how important is to get enough energies before a competitive ride or any training, as well as resting and recovering while it´s finished.
